This is a detailed review of the Cuisinart Primario FP-13 Food Processor, featuring both PROs and CONs after meticulously testing for Trio weeks.
Wij spend Three weeks testing this newest monster of the Cuisinart food processor family, during my busiest cooking holiday, Chinese Fresh Year. Wij made homemade potstickers, wonton, egg/spring rolls, each packed ingredients processed by the Cuisinart Simple Food Processor with the Dicing Kleefstof.
What’s te the opbergruimte?
Neither Professional strafgevangenis CON, but something to consider: After removing all the parts, I laid out all the chunks and a little shocked! Where am I going to store all thesis lumps? My pantry shelves are not tall enough to store the cojín motor with the cups and lul linked.
The good news is that the unit comes with a locking case for the blades (my previous Cuisinart food processor didn’t come with a case, and all the blades are just stored loosely te a plastic bin). The puny work cup nestles te the larger work cup. The dicing plak parts (including the cleaning contraption) all nestle into the included storage cup.

My beloved feature of the Cuisinart Primitivo 13 Cup Food Processor
Let’s just leap ter here and talk about my dearest feature of the Cuisinart.
Professional: The almohadilla is LIGHT. I can hold and lift it with one forearm. Remarkably, the lightness doesn’t affect the machine’s show – no wobbles, no creeping on my tegenstoot, and standard food processor noise.
The cup locks sleekly and lightly onto the colchoneta. Just line up the treat towards the front-right, and twist to the left.

The lul wasgoed a little more finicky when using the slicing disc and adapter. After failing to get the machine to engage, I had to take every part off and disassemble, and then reassemble again. But I think because it wasgoed a fresh machine for mij, it just took getting used to the feel of when each lump “locks” into place.
Broad Mouth, Broad Cup
Professional: Love the broad mouth of the chute. It used to take mij more time to cut/re-cut ingredients to gezond a narrow crevice than it did to just slice everything by forearm!
The large cup size is generous, excellent for processing a big batch of food without having to continuously empty to refill. I’ve never had a “mini-bowl” for petite batch, and just realized how useful it is!
Before, for puny batches, I never used the food processor. 1. It wasgoed mighty to lug out Two. Too many parts to wash for just a little bit of food. Plus, a puny amount of food doesn’t process well ter a big cup.
It’s still a lotsbestemming of parts to wash for a little bit of food (I can just spil lightly use my acute chef’s knife and then only have one voorwerp to wash) but at least the smaller cup processes the food better, especially when making creamy hummus.
Cuisinart’s Regular Blade
The very first thing wij processed wasgoed large carrots for My Mother’s Famous Chinese Egg Rolls. Normally, I would shred the carrots, but I dreamed to test the power of the Cuisinart – who will it do to large, thick, chunky carrots?
Professional: The reaction is a very even, impossibly puny mince, without the carrots becoming mushy. No stray chunks of carrots, every lump wasgoed beautifully processed.
Professional: One passed dump into the cup, without the blade falling. My old Cuisinart required you to stick your finger ter the bottom of the cup to hold on the blade to prevent it from falling out.
The blade is a little funny looking! But it works.
CON: After washing, the blade is still stained with carrot. I now have an orange blade!
Adjustable Slicing Disc
The slicing disc is adjustable! Just turn the knob and the very acute blade adjusts.
Very acute. Ouch. Be careful of this moving blade. Every time I look at this blade now, I get the shivers.
Sliced an apple, not for the dumplings, but just for a snacky-snack.
Wij’re shredding cabbage for both the egg rolls and the potstickers.
Professional: Nice broad mouth shreds a lotsbestemming of cabbage at merienda. The shredding blade is reversible. One side is large shred, the other side is petite.
The shredding disc didn’t work that well for mij. Lots of large lumps still stuck.
CON: Because of the form of the penis, look at the mess up ter there! I think there wasgoed more cabbage stuck te the penis and above the blade than te the cup itself.
Where are my dicing photos. Argh, my phone ate the dicing photos! It’s okay, just witness this movie.
Professional: The dicing kleefstof works indeed well, dices the tomatoes without overly smushing. I wish there wasgoed a smaller dice blade. I’ve used the dicing plak many times, LOVE IT.
